Configure Gantt Chart for BMC Helix ITSM

This topic contains information on how to use Gantt Chart in your application. This can be done by Visual Board role "Visual Board ITSM" or "Visual Board BWF".

To define a Gantt chart 

1. Once the Fusion Visual Boards are deployed on the BMC Helix Innovation Studio environment, two new components are available under the “Toolbox” area while we are designing a new view.
   
   
   
2. Inside a container, add the Gantt-ITSM and Shared Settings object. The latter is for the relationship to the set “Smart-IT” – Base URL under in BMC Helix Innovation Studio Administration area.   

3. The input variable is especially important for the later opening of various elements within the Gantt chart.  Drag the Gantt-ITSM on your view.

   Warning

   Important

   We can have only one Gantt or one Gantt ITSM in a view as it has the same id. 

4. Click on View configuration to configure the properties for The Task, Task Group, and Work Order record definitions.
5. In the respective sections the fields are to be mapped appropriately as in the example:
   
6. This is where you define the layout of the chart.
   
7. The debug checkbox can be used to output possible errors for troubleshooting in the browser console.
8. In addition to the colour adjustments for the individual objects in the HTML colour code, the input variable mentioned above is also mapped here, as well as the Smart IT URL from the BMC Helix Innovation Studio configurations.    
   

9. Complete the Shared Settings configuration like below: 

   

10. Save the changes. Configuration for Gantt Chart for ITSM Work order is done. Similar way you can configure and create your own Gantt chart for the desired record definitions.
