Viewing and updating portfolio details


Only the Portfolio Manager of the portfolio and Portfolio Masters can edit the portfolio details.

To update a portfolio

  1. Log in to the Agility Suite application.
  2. Navigate to Portfolios.
  3. To open a portfolio on the Portfolios workspace, click the required portfolio ID.
  4. On the portfolio details page, click Edit, and perform any of the following actions:

    Change the basic portfolio details

    The portfolio manager assigned can update basic details of the portfolio:

    • Summary
    • Description
    • Attachments
    • IT Service
    • Idea Review Threshold
    • Visible in Digital Workplace
    • Total Budget

    Assign portfolio manager

    By default, the Portfolio Manager is the portfolio manager who creates the portfolio but he/she can reassign the portfolio to another portfolio manager:

    • Click the Associate button next to the 'project manager' field.
    • A blade window is opened with a list of portfolio managers. Select the new portfolio manager and click Select.

     

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Header functions

Opening a portfolio, you can also view functions (bottoms) related to the portfolio in the header.

The following table describes the portfolio functionalities that you can view for your reference: 

Header bottom

Purpose

Resources

This button is visible to users who have the role of a resource contributor and if resource management is activated for Ideas. To get further details refer to Configure Source Entity Type.

Clicking on this button will open up a blade that shows all the resource requests and resource assignments that are related to this idea. This blade also has a button to directly create a resource request related to this idea.

Timecards

This button is visible to users who have the role of a resource contributor and if resource management is activated for Ideas. To get further details refer to Configure Source Entity Type.

Clicking on this button will open up a blade that will allow the logged-in user to create a timecard.

Other portfolio tabs

Other than the basics you can also view certain tabs that provide more information about the portfolio. The portfolio manager can use this information to work on the portfolio.

Portfolio tab

Purpose

Projects

List of projects related to the portfolio.

To create a new project in the portfolio, see Creating-projects.

To open and view a project, see Viewing-and-updating-project-details.

Requirements

List of requirements related to the portfolio.

To create new requirements related to the portfolio, see Creating-requirements.

Here you can find requirements created by ideas related to the portfolio.

Demands

List of demands related to the portfolio.

To create new demand in the portfolio, see Creating-demands.

To open and view a demand, see Viewing-and-updating-demand-details.

Ideas

List of ideas which have been related to the portfolio.

To create a new idea directly in the portfolio, see Creating-ideas.

To open a view an idea, see Viewing-and-updating-idea-details

Resource Requests

The resource requests tab shows all the resource requests that are related to the portfolio directly and indirectly (i.e via idea, demand, project, sprints, phases, project tasks).

IT Tickets

List of ITSM Tickets related to the IT Service.

Details

You can see the portfolio manager assigned, description and attachments.

Activities

The activities tab on the portfolio details page displays activities and the history of the changes that the portfolio manager has made in the portfolio.

Related

The portfolio manager can attach files to a portfolio and view a consolidated list of all the documents added. Here you can consult all documents related to Ideas, Demands, Requirements and Projects of the portfolio.

To update a portfolio
