Creating demand requirements


This topic guides you on how to create demand requirements. 

These operations can be performed by the Demand Contributor creator of the demand (if demand status is 'Draft' or 'Requested'), Demand Manager of the demand, Portfolio manager of the portfolio and Portfolio Masters.

Once demand is 'Assessed' status, it is not allowed to create or edit demand requirements.

To create a new demand requirement

  1. Log in to the Agility Suite application
  2. Navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  3. To open a Demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID.
  4. Go to the Requirement tab and click the Add Requirement button.
  5. On the create Requirement page, enter the values for the following fields: 

    Field Labels

    Description

    Summary 

    A short summary with details about requirements.

    Description

    Details about the requirement.

    Attachments

    Attachments for more information on requirements.

    New Business Impact

    High, Medium, Low.

    Customer Impact

    High, Medium, Low.

    Type

    Functional, Issue, Bug.

    Priority

    Critical, High, Medium, Low.

    Required Skill

    Architect, Developer, Manager, Tester.

    These are examples and are configurable as per business needs (see Configuring Demand Management).

    Estimated effort (required)

    The number of hours estimated. 

    Benefits

    List of benefits after addressing this requirement.

    Problem Solved

    List of problems which get addressed.

  6. Click Save.

To update a demand requirement

  1. Log in to the Agility Suite application
  2. Navigate to Workspaces > Demands.
  3. To open a Demand on the Demands workspace, click the required demand ID. 
  4. Go to the Requirement tab and click the required requirement ID of the list.
  5. On the requirement details page, click Edit,
  6. Apply changes in the requirements fields.
  7. Click Save.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
