21.3 enhancements

Review Fusion Agility Suite for Helix 21.3 enhancements for features that will benefit your organization and to understand changes that might impact your users.

Project Methods

Now a project can be created in two different behaviors

  • Phased
  • Agile

A Phased project contains phases, the phases are executed one after the other with a dependency between them (waterfall). On the other hand an Agile project contains sprints and they can be executed in parallel.

This can already be determined in the demand.

Phase-based project also support milestones.

Templates

Templates are an easy way for project managers to save time by reusing the information that is common to the similar type of projects.

Project managers can define the following templates type:

  • Task Templates.
  • Sprint-Phase Templates.
  • Project Templates.

Subtasks

Standard tasks can be converted into subtasks.

Standard tasks with subtasks have their own Kanban board.

There is an option to automatically close the standard task of subtasks when all subtasks are closed.

Global Tasks

Global tasks are independent of phases or sprints.

A global task can also have subtasks.

Like other tasks, also support the project backlog.

Related Objects

Related Documents are available in all objects.

Configuration determines which document type is available for which object.

Each document can be displayed both in the object itself and in the associated portfolio

The following document types are shipped OOTB

  • Test Case.
  • Design.
  • Concept.
  • Documentation.
  • Risk & Compliance.
  • Release.
  • Lessons Learned.

Project Status Reporting

Project Managers can now create Project Status Reports.

All previous status reports are historicised.

A draft status report can be created from any existing status report by simply copying it.

There is always only one current status report. This automatically updates the RAG status of the project.

Project additional accesses

Project manager can set additional access to others project managers to the project.

The additional access can be:

  • Read: the additional project manager can access the project, sprints or phases, tasks, related activities and documents, and he/she can create new activities related and documents.
  • Write: the additional project manager can access and modify the project, create and modify sprints or phases and tasks, and he/she can access and create new activities related and documents.

Resource Management

Manage Resources on Agility Suite requests:

  • Portfolios.
  • Demands.
  • Projects.
  • Sprints/Phases.
  • Tasks.
  • Requirements.

Manage Resources on 3rd Party Requests like

  • Absense Management.
  • ITSM objects.
  • Jira.
  • SAP.
  • Others.

Manage Skills and Qualifications

Assign Resources to resource requests.

Time Tracking on Agility Suite Assignments for

  • Internal Agility Suite objects like project / tasks.
  • 3rd Party Assignments.

Resource Management Dashboards and Reporting

  • Status tracking and forecasting.
