Resource Settings
After the deployment of the application, you need to configure the following settings which define the
- Application source from where resource requests can be generated, and
- Entity types to which resource requests can be associated
Application Source
This console shows the application sources from where resource requests can be generated. By default, the entry for Agility Suite would be configured.
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Source > Application.

The type field has two options: "Internal" and "Third Party".
For the type 'internal', the application name is disabled and set to Agility Suite and the URL details do not need to be configured.
For the type 'third party', application name and URL details should be added.

Detailed Description
Add an appropriate detailed description for the application source.
Status
The status field has two options namely, active and inactive. The default status after the creation of an application source is "Active". To remove the usage of an already configure application source, change the status to "Inactive". This will disallow the creation of new resource requests for that application source.
- To edit a source application, either click on the display id of the application source or select the row and click on the Edit (
) button. - To delete a source application, select the row and click on the Delete (
) button. Note that only those source applications can be deleted that are not already used in resource requests.
Entity Type
This console shows the entity types to which resource requests can be related. By default, the entries for Agility Suite would be configured (such as Portfolio, Project, Sprint, etc).
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Source > Entity Type.

Select one of the source applications from the dropdown. The dropdown shows all the active application sources.

Enter the entity to which resource management needs to be added.
Incident
Path
the path (extension) to the entity type. This path is concatenated with the URL of the application and shown in the preview of the URL.

Status
The status field has two options namely, active and inactive. The default status after the creation of an Entity Type is "Active". To remove the usage of an already configured entity type, change the status to "Inactive". This will disallow the creation of new resource requests for that entity.
Record Definition Name
It defines the record definition name in which the details of the entities will be stored. This field is unmodifiable. For agility suite, the record definition is set according to the entity type. For all other application sources, the record definition name is unmodifiable and set to 'com.fusiongbs.agilty: External Resource Entity'
- To edit an entity type, either click on the display id of the entity type or select the row and click on the Edit (
) button. To delete an entity type, select the row and click on the Delete (
) button.
Planning
The planning configuration manages the timelines which will be supported for 'Resource Planning'.
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Planning.
- Day - Past: the system will show resource planning for each of the resources starting the number of days specified in the past.
- Day - Future: the system will show resource planning for each of the resources until the number of days specified in the future.
Configuring Working Hours and Allocated Working Hours
Working Hours
This console shows the working hours or shifts that can be worked upon in the organization. The working hours record holds the number of hours that can be worked on, in a week.
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Allocation > Working Hours.

New' button to create a new Working Hours record. Field

This will disallow the creation of new allocated working hours records for that working hours record.
Note: The hours on weekdays on a working Hours record that is already in use in an Allocated Working Hours record cannot be edited. To avoid its further usage its status must be set to 'Inactive'.
- To edit a working hours record, either click on the display id of the working hours record or select the row and click on the Edit (
) button. - To delete a working hours record, select the row and click on the Delete (
) button. Note that only those working hours records can be deleted that are not already used in allocated working hours.
Allocated Working Hours
This console shows the working hours or shifts that can be worked upon in the organization. The working hours record holds the number of hours that can be worked on, in a week.
- The Allocated working hours record is used to determine the number of working hours that a resource (person) can work on, on any particular date.
- An allocated working hour record is always associated to a working hours record.
- Allocated working hours record have a 'Type' field which can hold the values, 'Person', 'Site', 'Default', and 'Fallback'.
- 'Person' type means that the allocated working hour record will directly be associated to a person.
- 'Site' type means that the allocated working hour record will be associated to a site and will be applicable to all the people in that site.
- 'Default' type means that the allocated working hours record will be used in case neither a person nor a site type record can be found for that person on that date. This type should be made as a default configuration for the entire organization for a period of time.
- A record with the type 'Fallback' is created by default and is used in case there is no allocated working hours record (type: Person, Site or default) that can be found for that date.
To configure the allocate working hours
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Allocation > Working Hours - Allocated.

Valid From
Add the date from when this allocated working hour should be applicable on the selected type (Default, Person, Site).
Valid To
Add the date to when this allocated working hour should be applicable on the selected type (Default, Person, Site).
Type
The field Type will show three options namely, 'Default', 'Site', and 'Person'.
Choose 'Default' if you require this Allocated working hour to be applicable for a person when no applicable allocated working hour record can be found for that person in that duration of the type person or site.Choose 'Site' if you require this Allocated working hour to be applicable for a site.
Choose 'Person' if you require this Allocated working hour to be applicable for a person.

Select a Working hours record from the dropdown. (Only those working hours records are listed which are active.)
Person
The person field is visible when the selected type is 'Person'. Select the person for which the allocated working hours record has to be created.
Site
The site field is visible when the selected type is 'Site'. Select the site for which the allocated working hours record has to be created.
Status

Configuring Timecard Management
This console allows configuration to allow or disallow the tracking of Break time and to track the Start time and End Time on a timecard.
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Timecard Management > General
- Select true or false to configure Break Time Tracking and Start Time/ End Time Tracking.
- Click Save.
The Reset to Default resets the values to false.
