Configuring skill
Manage Skills console shows the skills which may be used to add qualifications to a user, request specific qualifications on a resource request, and resources associated with demand, and it is accessible by the Resource Master and the Agility Admin users.
To access to this console, log in Agility Suite application, click Settings and go to Resource Management > Skill.
To create a skill
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Skill.
Click on the ' New' button to add a new skill.

Skill Area
Select one of the Skill Areas from the dropdown. The dropdown shows all the active skill areas.
Service Management
Skill
Add the name of the Skill.
Helix ITSM (On-Premise & SaaS)
Certificate
The field Certificate has two options namely, 'Yes' and 'No'.
Choose 'Yes' if a certification is required for this skill. Choose 'No' if this Skill does not require certification.No
Cost Per Unit
This field specifies the cost of the resource with that skill

The options for this field are: Day, Hour, Item, Service
Hour
Allocation
The options for this field are: Total, Shared, Recurring
Total
Shared Percentage
This field is visible only for 'Shared' allocation. Add the shared allocation value.
Recurring Period
This field is visible only for 'Recurring' allocation. The options are Daily, Hourly, Monthly, Yearly, and n/a.
Recurring Amount
This field is visible only for 'Recurring' allocation. Add the appropriate recurring amount.
Total Cost
The total cost field is disabled and is auto-calculated based on the shared percentage / recurring details, amount, and cost.
Status
The status field has two options namely, Active and Inactive. The default status after the creation of a Skill Area is "Active". To remove the usage of an already configure skill area, change the status to "Inactive". This will disallow the creation of new skills for that skill area.
To modify a Skill
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Skill.
- To edit a Skill, either click on the Display id of the skill area or select the row and click on the Edit () button.
- Apply the changes and click Save.
To delete a Skill
- Log in Agility Suite application and click Settings .
- Go to Resource Management > Skill.
- Select the Skill to delete and click on the Delete () button.
Note that only those Skill Area records can be deleted that are not already used in skills.
