Patch 1 for Service Pack 1: 3.0.01.001

This patch release includes support for integrating BMC Service Resolution 3.0.01 with BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management 10.0.

Before you begin
- Ensure that you have installed the latest hotfix of BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management 10.0 on the Infrastructure Management computer. Contact BMC Support to get the latest hotfix.
Ensure that the latest CMDB Extensions for BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management 10.0 are installed on the ITSM computer. SeeInstalling BMC CMDB Extensionsin the Infrastructure Management online documentation.
Installing the patch on BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management
- Download the patch installer from the BMC Electronic Product Download site, or navigate to the installation directory on the CD. For more information, see Downloading-the-installation-file.
- Unzip the installer file (BPPM_BSR_3.0.01.001_Installer_Windows.zip) available in the BMC_Service_Resolution_3.0.01.001_Windows.zip file and navigate to the Disk1 folder.
- Run setup.exe.
- In the lower-right corner of the Welcome panel, click Next.
- On the Installation Preview panel, review the details, and then click Install.
- After the installation is complete, in the Installation Summary screen, click View Log to review any SEVERE errors or warnings in the log. The installation log is available in the %TEMP% folder on your computer.
- Close the log file.
- To exit the installer, click Done.
Verify the installation
- At the command prompt, run the following command:
pw viewhistory - Verify that the installed version is 3.0.01.001.
Installing the patch on BMC Remedy ITSM
- Download the patch installer from the BMC Electronic Product Download site, or navigate to the installation directory on the CD. For more information, see Downloading-the-installation-file.
- Unzip the installer file (ITSM_BSR_3.0.01.001_Installer.zip) available in the BMC_Service_Resolution_3.0.01.001_Windows.zip file and navigate to the Disk1 folder.
- Run setup.exe.
- In the lower-right corner of the Welcome panel, click Next.
- On the Installation Preview panel, review the details, and then click Install.
- After the installation is complete, in the Installation Summary screen, click View Log to review any SEVERE errors or warnings in the log. The installation log is available in the %TEMP% folder on your computer.
- Close the log file.
- To exit the installer, click Done.
Verify the installation
Verify that BMC Service Resolution is registered in the SHARE:Application_Properties form.
