Configuring polling interval

To get updates to the incident in BMC Remedy ITSM, BMC TrueSight polls ITSM periodically based on the polling interval. You can configure this polling interval as per your requirement. The duration of this time interval is in seconds.

To configure the polling interval

  1. Open and edit the ibrsd.conf file located in the %IBRSD_HOME%/conf folder.
  2. Set the value of the delaybetweenpolling property. For example, delaybetweenpolling = 20
    By default, the polling interval is set to 10 seconds. Note that the minimum polling interval that you set should not be less than 5 seconds.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
