Enhancements in version 7.6.06


The BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk product has been enhanced with the following new features and changes.

Incident Management enhancements

Following are the enhancements for Incident Management in BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.06:

  • Modern tile-based view
  • Mobile-specific user interface elements to help users triage incidents
  • Filtering based on assignee and location
  • Sorting based on priority and VIP
  • Details view:
    • Shows key fields and data only
    • Customer, priority, and status expansion on click to show more details
  • Instant Messenger-like scrollable work logs per incident
  • Actions button mobilizes key actions: Resolve, Next Stage, Cancel, Pending/Resume, Reassign
  • Offline client:
    • Automatic background synchronization
    • Data security through encryption of the local client database and transport of data

Approvals enhancements

Following are the enhancements for Approvals in BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.06:

Mobility server enhancements

Following are the enhancements for the BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.06 server:

  • End-to-end Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for transporting sensitive data
  • Synchronization to enable offline updates to and from the Mobility client
  • Server-to-client, cloud-based alerting
  • Server support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 8 and later

Platform enhancement

Following is the enhancement for the platform in BMC Remedy ITSM - Mobility: Service Desk 7.6.06:

  • Mobility Admin Server as the centralized configuration repository for the mobility cluster
