Using PATROL Configuration Manager for configuration
In addition to PATROL Developer console, you can use PATROL Configuration Manager to perform various configuration tasks in BMC PATROL for Platform as a Service such as:
- Manage Azure accounts. For more information, see Configuring-Azure-accounts-by-using-PATROL-Configuration-Manager.
- Manage Force.com accounts. For more information, see Configuring-Force-com-accounts-using-PATROL-Configuration-Manager.
- Manage parameters. For more information, see Managing-parameters-using-PATROL-Configuration-Manager.
Before using PATROL Configuration Manager to change the configuration of a Knowledge Module, BMC recommends that you ensure that PATROL Configuration Manager is set up to save or back up the configuration.
To enable backups in PATROL Configuration Manager
- From the main menu, select File > Configure > Application.
- In the Configure: Application dialog box, select the Archives tab to open the Backup Settings.
- Ensure that the Save Backup Before Apply option is selected.
- Click OK to save the settings.
