Performance tunings performed

The Innovation Suite Server was used heavily during the performance tests. To support the given user load, the following default settings were changed:

  • Jetty server threads — Jetty server is built-in component of Innovation suite AR server , REST call requests sent to Innovation suite are accepted by jetty server & then processed by innovation suite server. Jetty Max Threads changed from default value of 200 to 400. Setting is available in arsystem/jetty/etc/jetty.xml file. 
  • Database connections — Added parameter in ar.conf of Multi-Cloud application's innovation suite server. Max-Database-Connections with value 400. By default this parameter is not available in ar.conf file. 
    If error condition observed that given innovation suite server is unable to launch & errors in ardebug.log  with java.sql.SQLException:ConnectionPoolingConnection. This indicates , system need more number of database connections.
  • Additional information — Jetty logs were enabled to get response time of REST calls coming from Integration service connectors. These logs are similar to access logs of web server. This is helpful while drilling down response time of REST calls at Innovation Suite server side.
