Review templates
Relative weightings in the review template enable you to emphasize the importance of some questions or categories of questions. Each question's weight is used to adjust the overall score for that particular category. Category weight is used when calculating the overall score for a vendor.
To maintain objective responses across questions and categories, the weighting is not displayed to review respondents.
The following table shows the effect of category weights on the overall score. Question weights within a category affect the average score for the category in a similar fashion.
Category weights are assigned as percentages. You can assign whole numbers or partial numbers (for example, 12.5 percent). Any category marked as active must have a weight. You cannot set an active category to a weight of 0 percent. If the weights for all active categories do not total 100 percent, you are notified. You can adjust the percentages at that time, or you can save your work and adjust them later.
Before using a template in a review, you can add and remove categories and edit category weights as often as necessary. After a template is active and is used in a review, you cannot add or remove categories or change the weights.
