Use the vertical navigation pane on the left side of the window for primary access to the following task categories within the

  • IT Delivery
  • IT Business Management
  • Business Alignment
  • Resources

Use the menu commands at the upper right corner to access documentation (Help), to set preferences (Settings), and to log out of the software.

Use the following options to navigate the left panel of the main window:

  • To expand the links within the sections of this bar, click + in the section heading.
  • To collapse the links within the sections of this bar, click - in the section heading.
  • To return to your Home page, click Home at the top of the left navigation panel.
  • To return to the first navigation option, click the name to the right of the plus sign. For example, click Home to navigate to My Dashboard- the Home page. A check mark indicates which area of the application that you are currently using.
  • To view your alerts, click My Alerts under Home. Your alerts appear only when your user interface is configured to receive them in the application (see Configuring-the-delivery-of-alerts-and-reminders).
  • To view your tasks list, click My Tasks under Home. The lists in the My Tasks window depend on your access permissions to the BMC Demand and Resource Management and BMC Supplier Management modules.

    and the timecarding feature is enabled for your user account. The My Timecards window includes a list of your active timecards and a list of your approved timecards. For information about completing timecards, see Monitoring-resource-utilization.
  • To hide the left navigation pane, right-click in one of the colored title bars, and then select Hide menu. To display the menu when it is hidden, right-click the left edge of the Home page, and then select Show menu. To display the menu only when you move the cursor close to the left edge, right-click and select Auto-hide. Hiding the left navigation bar can be useful when you want to print a page or view more information in the window without scrolling.
