IT Department Budget portlet

The IT Department Budget portlet on the Home page provides you with quick insight into how well an IT department's planned budget is tracking against actual costs.

The ability to view information in this portlet is governed by access control rules. The budget available to you is based on the IT department and subdepartment budgets within the planning scenario that you select. The departmental budget data that is visible to you depends on the permissions that you have been granted. Contact your administrator for more information.

Notes

If your company has enabled multiple currencies, the summarized totals in this portlet might contain minor discrepancies with the intermediate subtotals. These discrepancies are the result of summarized totals accumulating fractional values, which represents a higher degree of accuracy than intermediate subtotals. 

If you change the book currency for your application, the currency values displayed in the IT Department Budget portlet are updated after the scheduled cron job is run. The cron job is set using the SCHEDULE_ITM_SYSTEM_JOB configuration parameter in Advanced Configurations (Magick URL) and it runs nightly by default.

BMC recommends using the default value of the SCHEDULE_ITM_SYSTEM_JOB configuration parameter.
