Defining a project

How you define a project is vital to determining its eventual success or failure. Defining the project includes specifying the initial scope, including the project type and the justification category. As you define an IT project, you need to build the business case for it by showing the relationship of the project to the IT and business environment. After these perspectives are in place, you can begin to assess the project viability.
