Managing project portfolios


A Project Portfolio is a collection of projects that reflects a particular perspective. For example, you may want to organize and categorize the projects for which you have responsibility into portfolios that help you plan resources and make budget decisions. In

, a Project can be a part of more than one Portfolio. Projects within a Portfolio typically are independent from each other and are managed separately.

: static and dynamic. You can create a static Project Portfolio by selecting individual Projects or a dynamic Project Portfolio that is based on common project attributes. The Portfolios you create can be private, that is, visible only to you, or published, which makes them available globally.
