Creating vendor services


  1. In the Vendor Services window or in the Vendor Service Details window, click New. The New Vendor Service window appears.

  2. Type a name for the vendor service in the Name field.
  3. Type a description of the service in the Description field.
  4. In the Supplier field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the vendor that provides the Service.
  5. In the IT Function drop-down list, select the functional area where the vendor service is provided.
  6. In the Status drop-down list, select a status.
  7. In the Type drop-down list, select a type.
  8. In the Site field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the site where this vendor service is delivered.
  9. In the Location field, type the location for the vendor service.
  10. In the Source drop-down list, select the source.
  11. In the Assets field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the assets that are associated with the vendor service.
  12. In the IT Owners field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the IT owners of the vendor service.
  13. In the Business Owners field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the non-IT owners of the vendor service.
  14. If the vendor service is planned but not yet purchased, select the Planned Vendor Service check box.
  15. If there are existing contracts, click Edit in the Contracts field, and use the chooser to select the appropriate contracts for this vendor service.
  16. Specify the names of the groups that have access to this data in the Access Restrictions field.
  17. To save all the information that you entered and display a blank New Vendor Service window to create another vendor service, click Save and New.
  18. When you have finished creating vendor services, click Save and Done to save your changes and exit the New Vendor Service window.
    The Vendor Service Details window appears for the last vendor service you created.
