Creating organization objectives
- In the Organization Objective Details window or on the corresponding row in the Actions column in the Organization Objectives window, click New. The New Organization Objective window appears.
Click on the following image to expand it.
- In the Name field, type a unique name for the organization objective.
- In the Business Owners field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the individuals in the business who own the organization objective.
- In the Description field, type a description for the organization objective.
- In the Parent Organization Objective field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the parent organization objective. Identifying the parent relationships creates a hierarchy of organization objectives, which enables you to bring into alignment the organization objectives throughout the organization. Leaving this field blank automatically gives it top-level status.
- In the Organization Units field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the organizational units that are responsible for the organization objective.
- In the Planned Start Date field, enter the start date.
- In the Planned End Date field, enter the end date.
- In the Actual Start Date field, enter the actual start date. Typically, this date will be entered later in the Edit Organization Objective window.
- In the Actual End Date field, enter the actual end date. Typically, this date will be entered later on the Edit Organization Objective window.
- To save all the information you entered and display a blank New Organization Objective window to create another organization objective, click Save and New.
- When you have finished creating organization objectives, click Save and Done to save your changes and exit the New Organization Objective window. The Organization Objective Details window appears for the last organization objective you created.
