Editing organizational units


The organizational units are created in BMC Remedy AR System. The information such as Name and Parent Organizational Unit is defined in BMC Remedy AR System and is not available for edit in

To edit an organizational unit

  1. In the Organizational Unit Details window or on the corresponding row in the Actions column on the Organizational Units tab of the Browse or Search window, click Edit. The Edit Organizational Unit window appears.
  2. To update the description of an organizational unit, edit the Description field.
  3. In the Executive Sponsors field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the executive Sponsors for the organizational unit.
  4. In the Site field, click Edit and use the chooser to select the site of the organizational unit.

    The BMC Remedy AR System also provides a field for providing site information when you create organizational units. However, the site information that you provide in BMC Remedy AR System is not used in

  5. To specify that the organizational unit is an IT department, select the IT Department check box. This check box is selected by default if the organizational unit was created as an Operating Company in BMC Remedy AR System.
  6. To indicate that the organizational unit is billable, select the Billable check box. This is required, when you use the IT Cost Management feature of the

  7. To save your changes and exit the Edit Organizational Unit window, click Save.
