Creating application interfaces

  1. On the Application Interfaces tab or in the Application Interface Details window, click New. The New Application Interface window appears.

  2. Type a name for this application interface in the Name field.
  3. Click Edit in the Vendor field and use the chooser to select a vendor to associate with this application interface.
  4. Type a description for this application interface in the Description field.
  5. Select a value from the Application Interface Status drop-down list.
    The Application Status field lets you categorize applications interfaces and establish relationships with other BMC IT Business Management Suite Pillars based on categories.
  6. Specify the names of the groups that have access to this data in the Access Restrictions field.
  7. To save all the information you entered and display a blank New Application Interface window to create another application interface, click Save and New.
  8. When you have finished creating application interfaces, click Save and Done to save your changes and exit the New Application Interface window.
    The Application Interface Details window appears for the last application interface you created.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
