Installing additional data access drivers

provides a set of custom data access drivers to enable customers to use specialized database reporting functions and stored procedures (for example, dynamic date formatting) while building reports.

To complete the installation of the Business Objects server, you must copy the data access driver files from the following folder on the

DVD or in the directory where you extracted the downloaded file:

  • For SQL Server: \BusinessObjects\Server\XIR31\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\odbc
  • For Oracle: \BusinessObjects\Server\XIR31\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\oracle

Copy the files as follows:

  • For SQL Server, copy sqlsrv.prm and sqlsrven.prm to
    <BORootFolder>\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\odbc.

  • For Oracle, copy oracle.prm and oracleen.prm to
