Recommendations and limitations

BMC Software recommends that the BMC Remedy AR System C and Java API calls be encrypted. For information about configuring encryption, refer to the Configuring BMC Remedy Encryption Security.

• Network latency between the BMC IT Business Management Suite application server and the BMC Remedy AR server impacts the logon times and the communication that occurs between the two systems.
• The remote deployment option is available only for same database types (Oracle/Oracle or MSSQL/MSSQL).
• For JBoss Application Server, the following parameters must be tuned to facilitate better performance:
  • Transaction timeouts
  • Re-authentication time interval
