Reconfiguring JBoss Application Server data sources

Use this procedure to reconfigure JBoss Application Server data sources to point to the IT Business Management schema.

To reconfigure JBoss Application Server data sources

Information

You can find the oracle-ds.xml and oracle-xa-ds.xml files in the JBoss Application Server installation directory under ...server/production/deploy.

  1. Update the connection URL pointing to the new BMC IT Business Management database in the oracle-ds.xml file as follows:<connection-url>jdbc:oracle:thin:@vl-sjc-atm-qa09:1521:ORA112DB</connection-url>
  2. Update the xadatasource property pointing to the new BMC IT Business Management database in the oracle-xa-ds.xml file as follows:<xa-datasource-property name="URL">jdbc:oracle:thin:@vl-sjc-atm-qa09:1521:ORA112DB</xa-datasource-property>
  3. Run the BMC IT Business Management maintenance utility to reset the IT Business Management user password.
