Performing custom configuration


After you have configured your system for standard operation, you can continue to customize your configuration. The Custom Configuration tab of the Application Administration Console provides access to all of the forms that you can use to configure advanced features.

For more information about configuring options related to BMC IT Service Management applications, see the Configuring Foundation.

For BMC IT Business Management Suite configuration, use the custom configuration to set up the organizational unit hierarchy.

To begin a custom configuration

  1. Open the Application Administration Console.
  2. Click the Custom Configuration tab.

  3. Expand options in the Application Settings list to view the available options.
  4. To open configuration forms, double-click an option in the list.
  5. Enter the required information and click Close.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
