Deploying the application
To deploy the application, you must first configure database permissions. Perform the procedures in this topic to complete your deployment.
To configure database permissions
As a database administrator, run the following commands from an SQL prompt:
- GRANT SELECT ON SYS.PENDING_TRANS$ to ITBM_DB_USER;
- GRANT SELECT ON SYS.DBA_2PC_PENDING to ITBM_DB_USER;
- GRANT SELECT ON SYS.DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS to ITBM_DB_USER;
- GRANT EXECUTE ON SYS.DBMS_SYSTEM to ITBM_DB_USER;
ITBM_DB_User is the name of the BMC IT Business Management Suite database user.
To deploy the application
- Log on to the WebSphere application.
- In the left navigation pane of the main console window, select Applications > New Application.
- In the New Application window, select New Enterprise Application.
- Select the application EAR file for Path to the new application. (The EAR file is located in the \dvdrom\EAR_files directory.)
- Use the itmsoft-was-oracle.ear file if you are deploying the application without using the BMC Atrium SSO server.
- Use the itmsoft-was-oracle-sso.ear file if you have configured the application server to work with the BMC Atrium SSO server.
- Click Next.
- Select Fast Path and click Next.
- Select the Installation Options form, and click Next.
- Select Map modules to servers, and click Next.
- Select Map virtual hosts for web modules, and click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Click Save.
- In the left navigation pane of the main console window, select Applications > Application Types > WebSphere Enterprise Applications.
- In the Enterprise Applications window, click ITM_SOFTWARE.
- Click Session management and click the Security integration check box.
- Click OK.
- Click Save in the Messages box at the top of the screen to commit the changes.
- Stop and then restart the application server.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
