Configuring the Java runtime environment
Complete the following steps to configure the Java runtime environment.
To configure the Java runtime environment
- In the main console window, select Servers > Server Types > WebSphere Application Servers from the left navigation pane.
- In the Application servers window, click server1.
- In the Server infrastructure options on the right, select Java and Process Management > Process definition.
- In the Additional properties options on the right, select Java Virtual Machine.
- In Application servers, click server1 > Process definition > Java Virtual Machine window, and specify the following values:
- Initial Heap Size: 1280
- Maximum Heap Size: 2048
- Generic JVM Arguments: -Xgcpolicy:optavgpause -Xnoclassgc
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
- Click server1.
- In the Server infrastructure options on the right, select Java and Process Management > Process definition.
- In the Additional properties options on the right, select Environment Entries.
- Click New.
- In Name, specify LDR_CNTRL and the value as MAXDATA=0x60000000.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
