Setting the fiscal calendar

You can specify your organization's fiscal calender range in the Administration interface. The range that you specify is used throughout the application.

Notes

  • Set the first month of the fiscal year after installation. You must not change the first fiscal month after the users have added financial data in the application. Changing the first fiscal month after adding the financial data can result in loss of data and incorrect financial calculations.
  • You can modify the first fiscal year at any time. However, you can specify only a value earlier than the one saved. For example, if the first fiscal year that you specified and saved was 2006, you can update it to 2005 but you cannot update it to 2007.
  • You can modify the ending fiscal year at any time. However, you can specify only a value later than the one saved. For example, if the last fiscal year that you specified and saved was 2010, you can update it to 2011 but you cannot update it to 2009.
