Localizing selection lists

Failed to execute the [bmc-contextid] macro.

An administrative-level user can customize the selection lists in the BMC IT Business Management Suite to correspond to the terminology used in your organization. The software uses the values in the selection lists for lists displayed in the user interface. While customizing the selection lists, an administrator can simultaneously configure values in all installed languages in the Admin interface. This is especially useful if your company supports multiple locales.

As an administrative level user, you can access the selection lists from the administrative interface.

You can follow the procedure for localizing the values in the selection lists to localize the flex fields also.

The language options are available for all selection lists except:

  • General ledger Account
  • Regions
  • Sites

To localize the values in the selection lists

    By default, the values in the table are displayed in the locale you set for your instance. If you support multiple locales, you can make changes to the values in all supported locales.

    The first two columns are for the current language and are not editable. You can edit only the columns for the language that you selected.
