Updating document templates


To update a document template, copy the file to your hard drive, make the changes, and then upload the revised file.

To update a document template

  1. In the Administration navigation tree, select Documents > Attachment Groups.
  2. In the Attachment Groups window, select the attachment group that contains the template that you want to update.

    The Attachment Group details window appears for the attachment group that you selected.
  3. Download the template file by clicking the document name and opening it locally, using an application associated with the file format.
  4. Modify the document template file.
  5. Save a local copy of the file by specifying a location on your hard drive.
  6. In the Attachment Groups window, click Update in the Actions column on the row that corresponds to the template that you are updating.

    The Edit Attachment for Attachment Group window appears, as shown in the following figure.

  7. In the File field, click Browse to locate and select the template file that you modified.
  8. Edit the information in any of the other fields, as needed.

    For example, you might select a different status or indicate that this template has been reviewed. 

    Warning

    Note

    The Version Notes field is not applicable to document templates.

  9. To save your changes and exit the Edit Attachment window, click Save and Done or Save and New.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
