Managing permission rules
Permission rules control user access to specific windows in BMC IT Business management Suite. A set of permission rules is available by default. You can customize the permission rules as per your requirements. You can use the Permission Rules tab to create, view, modify, and delete permission rules. BMC IT Business management Suite uses permission rules that are set as Active.

The procedure to create, view, edit, and delete permission rules is same as that for managing alerts with the following exceptions:
- Instead of EventRules tab, you use the Permission Rules tab.
- For a permission rule, you need to define page uniform resource identifier(URI) of the page for which you are controlling the permissions. For example, project or status.
