Managing alert rules


The EventRules tab displays the list of Alert Rules (both active and inactive) that are shipped with BMC IT Business Management Suite. The alerts that are displayed as Active are currently in use by BMC IT Business Management Suite. The alerts can be customized as required. The tab provides a convenient place for creating and editing alert and notification rules. However, writing alerts requires advanced skills and knowledge of the BMC IT Business Management Suite. This interface is intended for BMC representatives or personnel trained by BMC.

Error
Warning

You do not need to restart the application server after adding a new rule or modifying an existing rule. However, use of the EventRules tab by inexperienced personnel could compromise the integrity of your BMC IT Business Management Suite data.
