Checking the status of scheduled events

The Scheduler tab displays the Scheduler Details window. The Scheduler Details window shows the current status of the BMC IT Business Management Suite scheduler utility along with information like Job Count, Jobs Run, Job Group Name, Job Names, and Trigger Names. You can use the Pause, Stop and Start buttons in the Scheduler Details window to diagnose an event. After diagnosing an event, make sure the Scheduler is in running state before you leave the Scheduler Details window. The scheduler starts automatically when the application starts, so use the Start button only to restart after using the Stop or Pause button.

Job Count in the displays the number of jobs run from the time the scheduler last started to till now and will be reset to zero if you stop the scheduler.

The scheduler utility uses cron jobs to send alerts. In general, the scheduler is maintained better by the application. Consequently, these options should be used with caution and only as a tool to diagnose a scheduled event such as an alert or synchronization, if needed.
