Although many people in your IT organization may deal with the same vendor, different teams of people are likely to be responsible for different aspects of the vendor relationship. By using

performance scorecarding, you can create and deliver vendor performance reviews to the appropriate people, and classify and compare vendors.

  1. Create and activate a template that contains the questions you want to ask about one or more aspects of the vendor relationship.
  2. Create a review by selecting a template and choosing the vendors you want to have evaluated.
  3. Initiate the review and send scorecards to the individuals who have been identified to evaluate these vendors on the questions contained in the template you selected.
  4. Monitor the scores as the respondents record them.
  5. Analyze the final results.
  6. Send periodic reviews that are based on the same template to compare the results over time.
