Linking releases to projects

You can search and link one or more releases from BMC Change Management application to BMC IT Business Management Suite.

To link releases

  1. In the Project Details window, click on the Change and Release tab.
  2. Click on the Related Releases option.
  3. In the Related Releases pane, click on the Link icon.
     The Link Related Release window is displayed.

  4. To search for releases relevant to the project, use the Search By options.
     A list of releases corresponding to the search criteria is displayed. 

    Warning

    Note

    The search results do not include the releases that you have already linked to the project.

  5. To select one or more releases, click on the check box in the Link column.
  6. To add the release requests to the project, click on the Link option.
     The linked releases are displayed in the Related Release pane.
Warning

Note

You can use the Unlink option to remove the links to releases from a project in BMC Demand and Resource Management. When you remove the link to the release, the release is no longer visible in the release request list in BMC IT Business Management Suite. However the release is not deleted from BMC Remedy Change Management application.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
