Responding to resource requests for project tasks

Estimating the human resource requirements for all projects, both proposed and underway, gives IT resource managers complete visibility into the total demand placed on their staff members. Project managers, who are responsible for staffing projects, use integrated

screens to create Project Tasks and Resource Requests. These requests are submitted to the IT resource managers, who manage the workload of the IT staff available to work on Projects.

1. Project managers create one or more Tasks for a Project and submit Resource Requests for IT staff to complete those Tasks.
2. IT resource managers receive the Resource Requests and assign available staff to the Project Tasks.
3. Individuals who perform the work enter the time on their Timecards, by Project, and this information is available for Project tracking and analysis.
