Reporting status of a project

The Status tab on the Project Details page provides one place for you to summarize various aspects of project health. You can quickly report on the health of the project by choosing from pre-defined values.

Use the pre-defined values to describe:

  • Overall project health
  • Schedule and delivery health
  • Financial health-budget versus actual project spend
  • Resource (staffing) health
  • Objectives health
You can also specify the "good through" date of the status information. For example, your organization might require a monthly status report from project managers. If you are updating status information about October 7, you can use this field to specify that the information is "good through October 31."
Each health field also has an associated Comments field for more detailed information. These fields are displayed in project list pages and are available analysis options in Home Page analytics.

To edit the status of a project

  1. Display the Project Details screen by clicking the Project name on any screen on which it appears, including the Home page (if the Project is one of your selected Key Projects) and the Projects screen.
  2. Click the Status tab.
  3. Click Edit in the Status window.
The Edit Status for Project window is displayed.
