Use the procedure in this topic to view detailed information about a Program.
To view detailed information about a program
The Projects list is sorted by the planned start date, starting with the earliest date. Any Project that does not have a planned start date appears at the end of the list. Just above the Projects list are three calculations rolled up from the details of all the Projects on the list:
- Earliest Start Date
The start date of the earliest Project that is included in this Program, which is also the first Project on this list. For information about entering or editing the planned start date for a Project, see Schedule. - Latest End Date
The end date of the latest Project that is included in this Program. For information about entering or editing the planned end date for a Project, see Schedule). Budgeted Program TCO
The total of all the budgeted non-depreciation and capital expense amounts from the current default budgets of the Projects that are included in this Program.
These amounts may vary from the Program Budget Goal and Needed By dates that are displayed in the upper section of the screen. The Program Budget Goal and Needed By dates are estimates or targets that are typically set when a Program is first proposed and no detailed bottom-up scheduling or budgeting has been performed. The roll-up amounts are estimates based on schedules and budgets from individual detailed Project plans. These amounts do not necessarily need to be the same, but a rolled-up budget or schedule that exceeds the original target budget and delivery date could indicate a scoping problem with the Program.
From the Program Details screen, you can edit or delete this Program, and you can create a new Program. Also, you can view the details of any Project on the list.
