Adding details to IT staff profiles
After all job categories and job families have been created, you can update the IT staff profiles for all your current IT staff members. IT staff data is fist configured in BMC Remedy AR System and it does not contain IT-specific Job Category classifications for employees. You can add the Job Category information for your IT staff by editing the profiles in the IT Staff Pillar of the
. You are only able to edit IT Staff Member information if you have administrator privileges or are a member of a group to which Edit permission for IT Staff has been assigned.For more information about the IT Staff Pillar, refer to the __.
When your IT organization has licensed the module, the standard IT Staff fields on the Edit IT Staff Member window are supplemented with fields that are relevant to : Resource Manager, Job Category (required), Work Week, Project Availability, Minimum Work Week, Maximum Work Week, and Timecarding. If you select the Contractor check box, an Edit button appears for you to select the contractor vendor. If you select the Timecard check box, additional options appear for assigning Timecard approvals. In addition, the Primary Organizational Unit field is changed to a required field.
To add details to your organization's IT Staff profiles
- On the left navigation bar of the window, select IT Staff under the Resources heading.
The IT Staff screen appears. - Specify the support groups in the access restrictions field. For more information about support groups, see __.
