  • Clients
All employees within the organization are potentially the customers of IT. After client information has been imported from the HR database, you establish the reporting structure by linking employees to their managers. You can also establish relationships between these Clients and other objects within the BMC IT Business Management Suite.
  • Organizational Units
Understanding the organizational structure of the enterprise is critical, because IT resources are traditionally allocated according to such structures. For example, a defined set of IT resources (such as staff, applications, and assets) supports the finance organization, but a different set supports the sales and marketing organizations. Within the BMC Foundation, you create the organizational structure by linking the Organizational Units, including the IT organization, to their parent units.
