Upgrading from version 7.6.03 to 8.0


The BMC IT Business Management Suite installation program enables you to upgrade the product. You use the BMC IT Business Management Suite installation program to upgrade from version 7.6.03 to 8.0.

Warning

Notes

  • When you upgrade from version 7.6.03 to 8.0 and run the installation program the first time, it overwrites any existing BMC Atrium Integration Engine (AIE) integrations.
  • If you need to upgrade your JBOSS application server version to 4.3 or 5.1.1, you must do so before running the BMC IT Business Management Suite installation program.

To upgrade from version 7.6.03 to 8.0

  1. Stop the application server.
  2. Run the installation program.
  3. Migrate the organizational unit hierarchy in BMC Remedy AR System using the 7.6.03 to 7.6.04 Upgrade Helper.
  4. Start the application server.
  5. Complete the post-installation procedures.
