Internationalization and localization

The BMC IT Business Management application provides a robust localization and internationalization environment. This environment includes internal support for different character sets and a suite of features that enables administrators to produce localized applications. In addition, support is provided for a locale model in which users can specify their language and formatting preferences to have the application delivered in the style that is the most useful to them. With this model, the same application can be delivered simultaneously to different users in multiple languages.

To localize BMC IT Business Management Suite, you can select a single language or multiple languages when you install BMC IT Business Management Suite. To add languages not selected during the initial installation, run the installation program again and select the additional language to install. English is the default language on all platforms, and you cannot clear it from selection during installation.

The ability to load multiple languages on to a single client computer enables users to move seamlessly between languages by simply changing the preferred locale setting.

Supported languages

The application is localized in the following languages:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
