Disk space recommendations for running servers

These recommendations only apply to BMC IT Business Management Suite, not to the underlying software, operating system, or other applications.

Contact your local Product Support consultants for recommendations about hardware configuration requirements based on your expected application load and usage.

Note

The minimum requirements for the database host must be obtained from the database vendor (Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server).

Database server

The database server must have enough free disk space for data and log files. At least 100 GB of free disk space is needed for the database server. The data file must be allowed to grow in size over time, because the amount of data will increase over time.

JBoss server

The JBoss server needs at least 80 GB of free physical disk space after the operating system is installed.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
