Verifying the installation
This page described the main steps to take to verify that the installation succeeded.
To verify that the installation succeeded
- Examine the error logs. See the Working-with-logs section for information about this.
No Severe errors should appear in bmcitbm_install_log.txt.
For Windows, this log is in %temp%.
For Linux, the logs are in the /tmp directory, but also check in the /temp directory for other products. - Start the application server.
No errors should occur. - For JBoss, look at the console for listed errors.
- For WebSphere, look at the console for listed errors and see Verifying the application deployment.
- Log on to BMC IT Business Management Suite with username: itmadm and password: itmadmin.
No errors should occur. - Verify that you can see the Home page, data, and so forth.
They should all be accessible. - Review BMC IT Business Management Suite functions that were not changed, those that were enhanced, and those that are new.
No errors should should appear in bmcitbm_install_log.txt.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
