Defining project lifecycle templates
The default project lifecycle templates included in BMC IT Business Management Suite are:
- Project
Defines the phases and tasks associated with a Project in BMC Demand and Resource Management as it progresses toward completion. - Business Case
Defines the phases and tasks associated with a project request generated using BMC Service Request Management (BMC SRM) console.
Defining new project templates includes the following steps:
- Specifying the default approvers
- Creating the new project phases (called "tasks" in the template)
- Creating the tasks that are part of each phase (called "sub-tasks" in the template)
Creating project milestone default values.
By default the Project template has five phases or tasks as represented by five chevrons in the template details.
By default the Business case template has phase with sub-tasks.
