Reviewing and approving document templates


You can review and approve any attached document template.

To edit a template file, see Updating-document-templates.

To review a document template

  1. In the Administration navigation tree, select Documents > Attachment Groups.
  2. In the Attachment Groups window, click the attachment group that contains the template that you want to review.
  3. In the Attachment Group details window, click the template name.
  4. If a dialog box asks whether to download or save the template file, click Open:
    • If the template is in a format that can be opened in a browser (such as .html or .jpg), the file opens in a browser window.
    • If the template is in a non-browser format, it opens in the application associated with its format. For example, a .doc file opens in Microsoft Word.
  5. When you have finished viewing the template, close the browser window or the application.
  6. In the Attachment Groups window, click Update in the Actions column on the row that corresponds to the template that you reviewed.

    The Edit Attachment for Attachment Groups screen appears.
  7. To indicate that you have reviewed this template, select the Reviewed check box.
  8. To change the status of the template, select another value from the Status list.

    Note

    The Version Notes field is not applicable to document templates.

  9. To save your changes and exit the Edit Attachment window, click Save and Done or Save and New.

    Your user name now appears in the Reviewer column of the Templates section on the Attachment Group details window.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
