26.1 enhancements and patches
26.1.01
Automatically archive impact analysis data after incident or change closure
The data archival policy for Incident and Change Management is updated to include impact analysis data, such as run history, analysis results, input CI weights, run progress, and impacted CI associations. When you close an incident or change request, the associated impact analysis data is automatically archived. This approach helps manage storage consumption and maintain system performance.
For more information, see Resolving and closing incidents or Closing change requests.
Sequential processing of CI associations for data accuracy
In the impact analysis console, CI associations are handled one at a time to maintain clean records of the impacted CIs associated with incidents or change requests. To avoid overlapping updates, the Relate CI actions are dimmed while any manual or automated rule-based CI association is already running.
If an automated CI association for an incident does not complete because another association is running, an activity note is added explaining that the request was skipped due to an in‑progress CI association.
For more information, see Performing an impact analysis on an incident request OR Performing an impact analysis for a change request.
26.1
Perform impact analysis with improved automated rules and CI qualification
In impact analysis settings, use the enhanced automated rule to define conditions accurately by building qualifications that include incident fields and related attributes. After the impact analysis completes, CIs are related automatically based on the values defined in the qualification builder. These changes help reduce repetitive tasks and improve incident context during service operations.

For more information, see Configuring the impact analysis settings.
