Closing change requests


As a change manager, you can review all the implemented changes to make sure that each objective is met, validate the results, and close the change request. A request cannot be closed until all the related tasks are closed. When all the tasks related to a request are closed due to success, cancellation, or failure, the requester and the change manager are notified that the change is resolved.

When you close a change request, impact analysis data is archived as part of the Change Management archival policy. The archived data includes impact analysis run history, analysis results, input configuration item (CI) weights, run progress details, and impacted CI associations. Customized record definitions are not archived unless they are associated with parent records. For more information, see archiving data in BMC Helix Innovation Suite.
