BMC Helix Innovation Suite architecture
BMC Helix Innovation Suite consolidates all Service Management products on a single application environment that combines capabilities of BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Action Request System. This consolidation allows you to simplify your deployment architecture significantly and reduce operational costs considerably.
BMC Helix Innovation Suiteprovides:
- A shared database between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and AR System.
- A common Foundation data for applications that run on the BMC Helix Innovation Suite.
- The ability to interoperate between development tools.
For example, you can call a process defined by using BMC Helix Innovation Studio in AR System. The process is called by triggering a filter written in Developer Studio.

Architecture for BMC Helix Telco Extensions
BMC Helix Telco Extensions communicates with the external monitoring applications such as the Fault Management System and the Customer Care System by using multiple levels of REST APIs, which are of TMF 621 standards. The REST APIs, which are generic platform APIs and that are not exposed by the TMF are used to communicate with the Field Service Management applications. The UI layer and data layer is separated and they communicate by using the Innovation Suite APIs.
Additional capabilities, such as the Dynamic Service Model are provided by the ADE platform. These capabilities can communicate with the Resource Discovery by using REST APIs.
