Leverage the generative AI capabilities of BMC HelixGPT to summarize impact analysis results
Generate a summary of impact analysis using BMC HelixGPT, without manually reviewing configuration items (CIs). The summary is generated for the impacted services, sites, regions, and product categories in natural language, providing an insight into the scope and severity of disruptions and identifying the impacted areas.
For more information, see Configuring BMC HelixGPT for BMC Helix Telco Extensions.
Create rules to automatically trigger impact analysis for incident requests
As an administrator, configure automated rules to trigger impact analysis during key incident events such as incident creation, CI association, or CI disassociation.
This capability helps communication service provider (CSP) teams respond faster by automatically identifying affected services based on incident and alarm data and ensures more accurate and timely impact visibility without manual intervention.
For more information, see Configuring the impact analysis settings.
Receive notifications when the impact analysis is partially successful
Get notifications of partially successful impact analyses of incidents and change requests without having to manually check the status. It improves visibility into impact analysis results, supports faster troubleshooting, and helps maintain data consistency across systems.
For more information, see Performing an impact analysis for a change request
Accelerate CI association to a change request by relating CIs in bulk
Associate multiple configuration items (CIs) to change requests in a single action by using file upload. The system validates CIs before association, provides detailed logs, and retains uploaded files for five days. This enhancement significantly reduces manual effort, improves accuracy, and accelerates change execution.
For more information, see Viewing and updating change requests.
Rerun impact analysis by using input CIs from an existing impact analysis run
Rerun impact analyses from existing runs (successful, failed, or partially successful) without creating a new analysis. Save time and manual efforts by re-executing the impact runs and comparing results across runs. The Show related runs dialog box also helps in easy tracking of reruns and associates CIs back to the change or incident request.
For more information, see Performing an impact analysis for a change request.
Improve the impact analysis results by configuring service classes for incidents and change requests
As an administrator, configure service classes to be used as service configuration items (CIs) during impact analysis. When you configure service classes, the system can better understand how your services are set up, which helps provide more accurate results when analyzing the impact of an incident or change.
For more information, see Configuring the impact analysis settings.
Create and manage trouble tickets via TMF621 API
Integrate external systems with BMC Helix ITSM by using the TMF621 Trouble Ticket API. This enhancement significantly reduces manual effort, improves data consistency, and accelerates issue resolution for CSP teams by using API-based issue handling from external sources.
For more information, see Performing tasks in Telco Extensions with the REST API.
