Perform an analysis to find and relate impacted CIs for a change request

In BMC Helix Network Service Operations, you can run an impact analysis for a change request. This analysis helps you identify the Configuration Items (CIs) and services that are impacted by the degraded or impaired related input CIs for a change request. You can use these impact analysis results to evaluate change requests, manage risks, and make informed decisions while working on the change request. You can then relate the CIs and services that are identified by the impact analysis process back to the change request, which helps you resolve the change request quickly.

For more information, see Performing an impact analysis for a change request.

Manage related-party notifications for an incident

In BMC Helix Network Service Operations, as an administrator, you can manage the related party email notifications to help related parties keep track of assigned incidents. When a user or user group is added as a related party to an incident, an email notification is sent to that user or to all users in that group. These timely notifications help improve the productivity in your organization by helping related parties make informed decisions.
